We requested 7 non-electric road bikes and Alex has helped us greatly to find them for us. All delivered on time. The bikes were nearly new and were in great shape. When a chain broke Alex instantly responded and looked for a bike shop nearby the place where it happened so that we could continue our tour. Family e-bike ride in 35+ degrees! 😬 This was the most charming bike rental spot. Alex was particularly warm, welcoming and helpful. You got the impression that nothing was too much to ask and he had an excellent manner with the children. He made sure we had everything we needed before we left and gave great advice using the Komoot app. The kids absolutely loved the ease of the ride on a hot day and our son said, “the only problem was that you leave wondering how you can convince your parents to buy you an e-bike!” We would highly recommend RockVelo. Great experience and great host Although initially a little hard to find once we were there Alex ( the owner) welcomed us really nicely. I gave him a WhatsApp the night before ( after office hours) and he replied and sorted everything. Set up was easy and the bikes are great. The route was easy to follow and stunning. Only word of caution is we did 2.5 hours and it felt enough. Was glad to get back and get in some air con! - 7/27/2024 

We had a beautiful bike tour around the vineyards in the Vipava valley. The owner is very friendly and flexible. He also came with some good tips. The bikes where super. Go and rent a bike yourself and enjoy as much as we did!

Great familiy biking experience! Alex immediately got us in the mood by greeting us very friendly and energetic. After this, he explained everything about the bikes very carefully. We were with a group of 8 people, and everybody got a super, perfectly fitting E-bike. We had a lot of fun during the ride, and enjoyed the incredible sights in de Slovenian mountains. Kljub temu, da sva se za najem ekoles odločila zadnjo sekundo, nama je Aleksej takoj priskočil na pomoč in nama kolesa pripeljal na želeno lokacijo. Komunikacija je bila hitra, vse je potekalo brez težav. Kolesa so odlična, poleg sva dobila tudi čeladi, nahrbtnik, ključavnici in držala za telefon. Na njihovi spletni strani sva odkrila prelepo kolesarsko pot, ki vodi ob Soči in preko Goriških Brd. Vse je potekalo popolno! - 6/27/2024 

What a fantastic place! We booked the night before in minutes which was great. Alex rang us first thing the next morning to say that unfortunately the shop was closed for the day but he'd come up with a plan so that we could still enjoy the bike hire. He sent us a location to collect our bikes and helmets, gave us some route recommendations for varying difficulty rides and an explanation of how to use the bikes.
I decided to find my own route for my wife and I which started out well but because of the steep incline we very quickly used a lot of bike battery. My phone then died despite having been fully charged and then my bike battery ran out because we'd done too much.
We had a great time on the unexpected single tracks of the forest but I do wish I'd listened to Alex's recommendations as I feel we'd have had an even better day.
Alex was so friendly and welcoming when we returned back some 6 hours later with empty batteries and very muddy bikes.
We would definitely hire through him again.

Alex is the perfect cycle tour guide! My wife and I enjoyed a fantastic eBike tour of the Vipava Valley with Alex as our guide. Alex was great at keeping in touch, tailored the route to suit our requirements, and helped my wife overcome her initial lack of confidence (by the end she was powering off into the distance!). We found Alex to be thoroughly engaging, with a great sense of humour. He is a fount of knowledge about the area and Slovenian culture. Despite being a very experienced cyclist he was very happy to go at a pace suitable for beginners like us. We were lucky enough to enjoy perfect weather, made frequent stops to discuss points of interest along the route, and enjoyed some wonderful locally made ice cream! The tour finished with lunch in a delightful historic village. We couldn't have wished for better hospitality, and would thoroughly recommend RockVelo to anyone who wants to get out for an exciting and educatonal ride in the countryside whilst on holiday. My husband and I had the best time using RockVelo’s bicycles! We rented his e-bikes to be able to spend the day doing a long ride throughout Vipava valley. Our previous plans for the day had fallen through, so we called Alex at the recommendation of our hosts and he supplied the bikes within the hour! The bikes themselves ran wonderfully. Even better, the company had prepared routes that we could download and follow along to get the best views/experiences of the valley! Alex also gave us a map on which he drew our selected route and recommended some extra stops, which he drew onto our map and gave clear explanations of how to navigate there. His recommendations were very clear and also very appreciated, as they really added to our trip! Alex was kind, a clear communicator, and very thorough. We hired bikes for two days delivered to our accommodation. From beginning to end everything about dealing with Alex and Rockvelo was first class. The tour through vineyards recommended to us was exhilarating and beautiful. The restaurant recommended was also excellent. Added a wonderful dimension to our holiday. The weakest link Als niet erg ervaren mountainbikers het avontuur aangegaan met de ebikes van RockVelo. Zeer mooie tocht met hier en daar best wel pittig klimwerk, al dan niet door het niet zo nauwkeurig volgen van de route.. Halverwege de tocht hield de zwakste schakel van mijn ketting het voor bekeken.. na een telefoontje met Alex kon ik binnen het halfuur beschikken over een nieuw stalen ros om de tocht af te maken. Bij aankomst een hartelijke verwelkoming van Alex en zijn partner. Ondanks de pech een onvergetelijk avontuur,een aanrader en 4.99 sterren 🤩 waard!

A wonderful trip with e-bikes in nature My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our cycling trip through the beautiful nature of the Vipava Valley, guided by the extremely friendly and professional business owner Alex, who directed us to the hidden corners of the area. Top quality bikes & amazing day out! We rented 2 e-bikes from RockVelo. Alex dropped the bikes off at our hotel with a backpack, toolkit and bike locks. We stopped by RockVelo late in the afternoon and Alex was so kind and accommodating in getting us e-bikes at the last minute. We were quickly able to download the Komoot app where Alex has multiple routes in the Vipava valley loaded for easy navigation. We had the most wonderful afternoon biking around the vineyards and beautiful villages. The route had minimal traffic and we loved how peaceful it was. We have been biking in Napa and this area was so much more beautiful and less travelled. We hope to come back to this part of Slovenia so that we can cycle here again and would definitely use RockVelo for bike rental again. - 6/28/2023
