There are loads of perfect off & on road bike trails surrounding Lipizzaner Lodge! Discover the Green forest magic of the Karst all around here by biking up Slovenia’s last mountain (Nanos, 1,313m) or easily reach Predjama castle, the Postojna cave and numerous other hidden caves, mountains and disappearing lakes. With a bit of extra fitness, you can even E bike up & over Nanos dropping into either the neighbouring Vipava valley or Kras Teran wine regions! A wonderful forest & field filled adventure along back routes & stone tracks into the local town of Postojna, with the most famous cave in Europe, then out again to visit the most unique castle in the world at Predjama via another secret Black Cave! Lots of possibilities for refreshment stops.

Discover a Disappearing Lake!
E Bike through some of the most beautiful & secret parts of the Green Karst! Your target is the second largest of the “17 disappearing lakes of Pivka” at Petelinje, returning to the Lodge via forest covered hills and tiny picturesque villages. A few places to stop for refreshments along the way too!

Rapunzel`s Tower & Planina Cave
A fantastic loop that takes you past Predjama Castle, through ancient forests and all the way to the Planina Disappearing Lake, guarded by the magical “Rapunzel`s Tower”, where the “River of 7 Names” thunders out of another secret cave, (Planina). (Pack a sandwich)!
